We would like to welcome you to our new site, Hurricane-Relief.us, which is operated by US Hurricane Response and Relief Organization, a division of Southern Search & Rescue, Inc. and is an internal division set up to work mainly with hurricane related disasters. Since Hurricane Katrina devastated the United States in 2005, hurricane response has been a focus across the nation. While Katrina had a devastating effect on the nation, there have been even far more deadly and destructive hurricanes throughout US history. The US Hurricane Response and Relief Organization was a concept of the Board of Directors of Southern Search & Rescue, Inc. to help promote the history of hurricanes in the US, develop and teach preparedness programs along with other organizations, establish hurricane response and relief programs and help all of those affect by this major force of nature.
We are developing this site as a teaching and response/relief tool, to help provide information, raise donations to assist and more. Please check back on a regular basis as we build this site. We are currently working on information related to the first hurricane of 2010, Hurricane Alex that has already struck Mexico and the southern part of Texas. We hope that this site will be used as a tool on a regular basis and will be look for people to also provide information, stories, photo's, video's and more to our site.
If you would like to help current victims of Hurricane Alex, please make a donation using the button to the right here and look for more information on making donations in the next few days. Thank you for your help and support. |
